Stone types for gabion privacy screens

For our privacy screen gabions (Gabiolino©) we use only granite or marble chippings with a grain size of 16–22 mm. Larger grain sizes are difficult to compact. Only the right grain size gives a clean, even filling.

Our chippings are crushed to our specifications in selected gravel works in Europe.

Stone types in stock

• Giallo Sienna (yellow and white)
• Silver granite
• Verde granite (green)
• Terracotta (red)
• Nero with white content (black)
• Carrara white

Available to order: Botticino (beige).

Does the filling turn grey or mossy over time?

No. Unlike sandstone or limestone, granite and marble hardly let any dirt penetrate the surface. In addition, our baskets are only 4.5 cm deep, so no moisture remains in the core after rain. Algae and moss find no breeding ground. If necessary, the privacy screen can be cleaned with a pressure washer.
