How the raised bed calculator works
First choose whether you would like a raised bed (without a base, stands directly on the ground) or a planter (with a base, for terraces, balconies and patios). Then set the length, depth and height to the exact centimetre (from 30 × 30 × 30 cm up to 380 × 150 × 150 cm) and choose the material: stainless steel 2 mm brushed, corten steel 2 mm or powder-coated stainless steel in your RAL colour (price on request).
The price appears instantly, together with the volume of soil needed, the empty weight and a 3D preview. With «View inside» you can see the reinforcements, base and overflow inside.
Construction
- Fully welded, top edge folded into a 30 × 30 mm U profile
- From 1.20 m in length, internal reinforcement plates roughly every 80 cm, 10 cm below the top edge, and for planters at least 5 cm above the base
- Planter: base tack welded and additionally sealed, overflow outlet Ø 40 mm, 5 cm high, in the centre
Options
- 30 mm XPS insulation inside, on the side walls, and for planters also on the base
- Stainless steel swivel castors Ø 100 mm (planters only), hidden or visible with a brake
- Automatic irrigation
- Privacy and wind screen top section in the same material, with a laser design from our catalogue on request
- Stainless steel trellis, screwed in the centre of the bed
Delivery and installation
Collection in Etzgen, delivery from Etzgen (CHF 2.00 per kilometre driven, outward and return journey) or delivery with installation. Installation is charged by actual time spent (CHF 95.– per hour and person); the calculator shows you a guide price for it.
