Railing.
And windscreen.
With a simple movement of the hand, the railing becomes a windscreen and back again. Gas pressure springs assist the movement, with no electricity at all.
Enjoy the view. Keep the wind out.
The SlideGlass® windscreen railing is a railing and a windscreen in one. In fine weather, you enjoy the full view over the glass. When the wind picks up, you raise the glass with a simple movement of the hand. A specially developed gas pressure spring system helps you, with no electricity at all. Turning the windscreen back into a railing is just as easy.
Ideal for balconies, terraces, roof terraces and patios, with clear glass for an unobstructed view or frosted glass if you also want privacy.

Frequently asked questions about SlideGlass®.
How does the SlideGlass® wind protection railing work?
In the railing position the glass is down, so you enjoy a clear view and the railing protects against falls. When the wind picks up, you raise the glass by hand. A gas spring system assists the movement and no electricity is needed. Turning the wind protection back into a railing is just as easy.
Is SlideGlass® approved as fall protection?
Yes. The railing serves as fall protection in accordance with SIA 358 and is structurally tested, including certification.
How much wind can SlideGlass® withstand?
The SlideGlass® wind protection railing is designed for up to wind force 6. You can see the wind test in the film on this page. The mobile SlideGlass® mobil on wheels is suitable for wind speeds up to approx. 50 km/h.
Do I need planning permission?
SlideGlass® often does not require planning permission. However, the regulations of your municipality and the situation on site are decisive. We will be happy to clarify this with you during our consultation.
Clear glass or frosted glass?
Clear glass keeps the view open and protects against wind. Frosted glass (laminated safety glass) also protects against prying eyes, ideal if your balcony or patio is overlooked.
Which colours are available?
The base plates and posts are made of corrosion resistant aluminium, and you choose the colour you like, for example to match your windows or facade.
How much does a SlideGlass® system cost?
Every system is planned to measure, and the price depends on length, height, glass and installation. We will be happy to prepare a quotation for you. You can order the mobile SlideGlass® mobil directly in our shop.
