Mounted vertically, the solar privacy screen generates electricity even when the sun is low, and snow does not settle on the modules. It can be combined with stone baskets and frosted glass, as in our reference in Mellingen AG. Electricity when the roof takes a break.
With a solar privacy screen, you choose a product that pays for itself over the long term, and more. Under ideal conditions, a solar privacy screen about 10 to 12 metres long generates enough electricity to supply a detached house with around four to five kW of power.
Even with the sun low in winter, the vertically mounted screen delivers a steady flow of electricity without snow covering the modules, just when the solar roof takes a break.

Electricity from both sides.
The translucent glass-glass module generates electricity on the front and back. Depending on the location, the back delivers additional yield. Example: 400 Wp on the front plus a 10 % «bifacial gain» gives 440 Wp.
Back with a design of your choice.
The module generates electricity on the front; the back is closed and can be decorated with a laser design. In both versions the privacy screen is completely opaque.

How much electricity does a solar privacy screen produce?

Does the solar privacy screen also work in winter?
Yes. Because the modules stand vertically, they make good use of the low winter sun, and snow does not settle on them. The privacy screen therefore keeps producing electricity even when a solar roof takes a break.
What is the difference between bifacial and single sided?
Bifacial modules let light through and generate electricity on both sides. Depending on the location, the rear side adds extra yield. Single sided modules have a closed rear side that can be designed with a laser cut motif. Both versions are opaque.
What warranty is there?
We give a 30 year warranty on the performance and product quality of the glass glass modules.
Do I need planning permission?
That depends on your municipality and the height. We prepare the documentation for the planning application and take care of utility register extracts and clarifications.
How is the solar privacy screen installed?
On concrete foundations, or cleanly and quickly on screw foundations. On request, we remove existing walls and greenery and our specialists carry out the installation. You can also install the single bifacial element from the shop yourself.
How much does a solar privacy screen cost?
You will find the bifacial element with a 440 W glass glass module in our shop. We plan complete systems to measure and will be happy to prepare a quotation for you.
